Sustainable tourism in Lagos – noticiasaominuto.com
"We want to bring a more sustainable approach to the region of Lagos, which has a different type of tourism than the Costa Vicentina” admits to Lusa Marta Cabral, the president of Rota Vicentina association.
By the start of the Hiking Season 2019, Fishermen’s Trail will be extended by four new sections, joining Cabo de São Vicente and Lagos Train Station. “This is our geographic universe. Rota Vicentina is not a network of routes, it is a concept of local development and what moves us is the geographical unit," explains Marta Cabral. In total of 50 km, the addition will allow hikers to explore more of Portugal’s southern coastline by creating an official route and reducing walking on trailless coastline areas.
